Material Effects identity
6th Marianne Brandt Award
In 2016, the International Marianne Brandt Award invited designers, artists and photographers to participate with works responding to the theme “Material Effects” and exploring questions on a future-oriented handling of resources, matter and material.
We developed an identity based on repetition, wordplay, and transparency using translucent paper for poster, flyer as well as parts of the catalogue. Shimmering through on their respective pages, it creates a density of text (and image) which blurs the idea of front and back.
