Allan Sekula: OKEANOS curated by Daniela Zyman inaugurated TBA21’s year-long series of events, exhibits, talks and performances dedicated to the oceans. The monographic exhibition presented a selection of works by American artist and theorist Allan Sekula whose most significant area of inquiry remained the political economy of seafaring.
The visual identity, we designed for the exhibition, features a vibrant color palette, robust typography and corrugated rectangular shapes echoing Sekula’s recurring motif of cargo-containers, which has been the central subject he pursued over the last three decades of his life.
